Nico (Costa Rica)

Estoy orgulloso de haber participado en un torneo de fútbol en Argentina. Yo tenía 9 años, íbamos a representar a Costa Rica. Ibamos perdiendo el primer partido 5 a 0, pero me salió una jugada muy buena, el equipo contrario tenía un saque de banda, lo hicieron, me quedó la bola, yo iba contra 5 personas, me burlé a 3, después tiré la bola un poco lejos, entonces, casi sale al saque de banda, pero la salve, después, me acerqué al portero, se la pasé a mi compañero de equipo, él tiró y metió gol. Ese partido lo perdimos 6 a 1, los siguientes partidos los ganamos 6-1, 2-1 y 1-0, pero eran 5 partidos. El penúltimo partido lo perdimos 2-1, entonces, el siguiente partido lo teníamos que ganar obligatoriamente y… lo hicimos, lo ganamos 2-1 y entonces pasamos a la semifinal, pero quedamos en 4 lugar.

I’m proud of me because I participated in a football tournament in Argentina representing Costa Rica. I was 9 years old. We were losing at the first match 5-0 but I did a really good move, the other team had a throw, they did it, but the ball got to me, and I went to attack and I had 5 people trying to keep the ball away from me but they couldn’t, I got out and passed the ball to a team mate and he scored. We lost 6-1 on that match but we won the rest of the matches 6-1, 2-1 and 1-0. There were 5 matches and we lost the penultimate match 2-1, then, we had necessarily to win the next one and we did it! We won it, 2-1, so, we passed to the semifinals, but we were in 4th place.
